In 2019, I sold my house, gave most of my stuff to a local charity, and moved into my truck. Life had gone sideways and it was time for a bit of self-rediscovery.The plan? Spend the next year on something of a running-sabbatical-road-trip, reconnecting with the trails and reengaging with my tribe—the running community—along the way.Catching up with old friends or jumping into a race was usually pretty simple, but finding a running group wasn’t always so easy. Sometimes wasn’t a running store nearby, and websites like Facebook and Strava had pretty limited search options.So, I built <a href="https://grouprunfinder.com/?utm_campaign=about&amp;utm_source=patreon" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" target="_blank">Group Run Finder</a> to scratch that itch.While my sabbatical has long since ended, GRF lives on. My promise has always been to keep GRF free for the running community, but building and growing an app is a ton of work that requires an ongoing financial commitment.
